Where Next?

Hope your not going to make a habit out of endings like that, its not bad, just a bit terminal, and I think his "I'm taking you with me" ending should be slowed down to glorify his sacrifice, makes it a bit more cinematic.

But of course I'm going to nit pick, thats because your my favourite animator, and I want to see big things from you.

Oh yeah, the improbability machine from "Hitchhickers Guide to The Galaxy" was a fantastic idea, and well done too, good to see the giant marshmellow from one of your previous films make a brief return too.

As for fights, well what can I say, best in the buisness, superbly coreographed, only thing I must stress is MORE GUNS! If only briefly, its seems right that as the movies progress the body count gets higher and him more like a cross between "Death Wish" and "Rambo", the plasma gun or mini gun from the game would have been nice to make an appearance, mainly beacuse those seens where he mows down a group of charging opponents are always the best (Like in Madness Combat when the twin pistols come out).

Only thing I worry about is if this is the end? Your not going on to different things are you? Surely he could be chasing the Sherrif all through hell (Maybe get some help from a demon to deal with Jesus, Madness tag-team, now that would be fun).

Hope to see much more of your work in the future.

Nice

Its got a good grasp of the comedy of mario, just a couple of things, firstly you don't have to put in the mario sound effects EVERYWHERE!! In fact it gets annoying, my tip is to leave it where possible, look to mac daddy mario for a little inspiration, there are loads of excellent mario parodies out there, resident koopa also.
Secondly, go over the speech bubbles again and check them, the scripts are sound but spelling and grammar could use a scrubbing.
Apart from that, keep it up.

Should have been better

Nice but would have been about 243x better if it was all in the high quality style rather then 1 repeating animation with scrapbook style stills next to it. Still its very nice, with a pleasant and touching twist, but please, can you get back to me and tell me what that enchanting music is?

Best graphics I've seen in a LONG time

Graphics are second to none, and your adaptation is quite superb.

However, for the love of god see if you can hunt down someone willing to do the voice for you, yours just doesn't suite the tough FBI agent I believe the character is supposed to be.

Also your fighting although superbly scripted is a little rugged, it doesn't quite flow nicely, like watching the old mortal Kombat game, movements plastered on top of each other sort of style, so if you can smooth that out it would be brilliant.

Evil-Dog responds:

We'll try believe me but addding frames in the character animations means bigger file size and as you can see we barely manage to respect the newgrounds maximum file size despite our great effort to reduce the file size with different strategies.
And we'll work on the voices in future production. Thanks for your comment.

Messy

Great use of enviroment and fantastic thought into deaths, one problem, its almost impossible to tell whos on whos side, I highly recommend I color coded scheme next time, it would make life so much easier.

Poignant

Excellent choice of music, very touching, anyone who disagrees is too much of a rock fan and needs to broaden there musical horizons.

Anyway, the tribute was nice, but I can't help but say I feel you got the metaphoric symbolism all wrong. The way he fades seems to give the impression of his life fading, like other people are forgeting him which I know is not what your trying to say (or imply). Also you see him (rasberry clock that is) shed a tear, I would think it more fitting to be smiling, looking over his friends in a sort of comfort. Forgive me if I have over stepped my mark and offended you, after all he was not my friend, which I suppose makes it all the more difficult for me to connect and feel for you, but you did an excellent job, it worked.....

Oh, I think the main reason so many people are a little confused is there relative n00bs unacustomed (is that spelt right? lol) to the clock crew's style.

My comfort to your grief, and my prayers to Damon. May he rest in peace.

The Epic

And they say the clock crew don't do anything good...
Well I'm gonna break this review up, cause the vid was huge and I want to acomment on it all.

On the speech, your views are so intelligent as to be suprising, I was expecting some sort of punchline or interruption, but it was very well thought out. I myself have very similar views (If a little less refined), like how past thoughts of gods came as easy explanations for the inexplicable. Just 2 things, "Time abhors a paradox" speech was pinched from soul reaver 2 wasn't it? Also, I don't agree with hope being the driving force, I believe its always been power. Other emotions get poured on top but when its boiled down the yearning for power drives humanity. Example, the curiosity of men in science is down to wanting knowledge, knowledge is power, we struggle to become less powerless against that we don't understand by understanding it, it may seem a stretch but it all fits.

Nice ending, rounds the movie off on a light-hearted note, and the credits was very nicely done. However they moved far to quickly, so I would advise you to slow things down next time.

As for you comment on being a "n00b" flash animator, I hearterly disagree, its your little touches that make you an obviously good animator, the TV ripples on the camera, the way the credits don't slide in, they "Bounce" in, the way the credit pictures come in in different pieces rather than a lazy whole slide.

Seriously nice work, hope you reply back, but hey, everyones got there own life.

Da-Dinictus responds:

Thanks, Horny. Yeah, you can safely say Amy Harring's work has inspired that quote. ^_^ But I still cling to the fact I'm too new to Flash, seeing I can't even put in that damn replay button. Flash is always a bitch about that, say even the most talented scripters over here.
Power, as a driving force, is, what I believe, driven by a need for more, a hope to attain that. So that is why I concluded that Hope drives us - along with our very emotions.
Glad you enjoyed "R", my friend. A good day to you.

W000T For Foamy!!

Foamy is the gospel of the second coming, that second coming shall come in the form of......a ham sandwich...........hmmmmmmmm ham sandwich.

Superb

Wow...........I've had to watch it a few times as I can't quite catch the words in the song, but your technique is amazing and the end quite moving *Wipes away a single tear*.
Really this is very good, and the sort of stuff I'd like to make (albeit on a higher scale with actors) in University for my Media course.

Brilliant

Stunning, great collection of flash artists working together there. Great comedy, clock crew back on top form, and some fantastic extras, along with the best outtakes this side of a jackie chan movie. Really good.

Those I fight I do not hate, My allies I do not love, But still I'll climb into my Harrier Jump Jet, And blow the shit out of them from above.
